–Exploratory methods encouraging realism. ( Real World Scenarios, Valid Data and Simulations)
–Absorbing involvement (Human Engagement & Interaction) and incentives for learning.
–Addressing Organizations’ Critical to Quality (CTQ) Objectives for Strategy, Operations, and Innovation.
–Investigating and analyzing the feasibility and implications of alternative strategic plans, concepts of operations, investments, or technology applications to support Leadership decision making.
Stratspiel is a contraction of the word ‘strategy’ and/or ‘strategic’ combined with the German word ‘spiel’ which translated, means ‘game / play’.
Stratspiel is a professional services, ‘mentofacturing’ company passionate about the application of ‘serious games’ to help all types and sizes of organizations (Business, Government, Non-Profit) achieve not only success but abundance! The ability to explore the potential implications of various courses of action or new innovations is best handled by an investigative and integrated objective-scenario-human interaction (“Serious Game”) -> the interplay of human decisions and the simulated outcomes of those decisions – responsive to changes in an organization’s environment.

Why does the U.S. Department of Defense and large corporations like Citibank, Catepillar, General Electric, Honeywell, PWC, and many others spend $Billions on serious games? Because they work !
Let us show you what, how, and why.
You don't need expensive software or advanced distributed simulations to benefit from serious games. Stratspiel can tailor effective, interactive, realistic serious games that improve leadership decision making, innovation, and problem-solving to avoid mistakes that cost resources, livelihoods (or even lives), experiment with different courses of action, increase learning and will not drain your budget !
We help organizations explore the feasibility and implications of alternative strategic plans, concepts of operations, investments, or technological innovations. Stratspiel provides a unique forum for communicating ideas in vivid and memorable ways, and for discussing the validity and applicability of those ideas in a more empirical way and less abstract way. Serious gaming is an act of communication and an organizing and explanatory device. The design of the game (organizing) and the play and subsequent analysis of the game (exploring) form a circular chain or feedback loop, which can reshape or reorganize the game system itself to make it a more accurate representation of reality. As a non-linear communication device, the game sponsor’s intentions and objectives flow through the designer to the players and from the players, through the analysts back to the sponsor.
Note: Serious Games are not analysis; it is not a technique for producing a rigorous, quantitative or logical dissection of a problem but analysis is used within a serious game and after game play. Serious gaming is not real but uses abstraction – models and simulations aid in integrating realism and playability – but the human involvement is what distinguishes serious games from other types of models and simulations.. A serious game is not duplicable and replay will result in different outcomes. Well-defined objectives are essential, realistic scenarios set the stage for game play and give context for decision making, data and models must be valid. Rules and procedures help sequence game events and allow for accurate chains of cause and effect or action and reaction. Serious games can not be looked to provide solutions to problems they cannot usefully address where Mathematical Modeling, Operations Research, or other Analytical techniques are better suited.
